Day 20 (12/14) of Back to High Carb Intuitive Eating

I woke up with a scratchy throat and felt fatigued all day–by the time 4pm rolled around and I almost felt too tired to pack for my road trip to San Diego tomorrow, I knew I had a cold or flu coming on.

In the hopes of fighting it off, I started eating raw garlic like a fiend (there’s science supporting this, I’ll make a video on it soon!): I had 1 clove like a shot, and incorporated 3 more into a raw marinara for fries with dinner. I also felt extra ravenous, as often happens when I feel something coming on, so I had more fat than normal in the form of pecans.

Exercise: walked 7 miles

Breakfast:

  • Leftover mashed sweet potato
  • Handful of pretzels in lab
  • Coldbrew coffee with soymilk

Lunch:

  • 6 small red potatoes
  • Baked banana oatmeal

Dinner:

  • 2 veggie patties
  • Red potato fries with tomato sauce
  • Apple, dates, pecans and chocolate chips
