Day 2: September 16th

Day 2/23

I felt so good today, and I definitely think the higher calories/good carbs are to thank for it! I haven’t felt this cheerful and positive in quite awhile.

Despite having a long day of class and meetings plus heaps of work to do, I had the energy to lift weights at night!


Macros: 66% carbs, 20% protein, 14% fat

Exercise: weight lifting + walked 4.5 miles 

Breakfast

  • Steamed Japanese sweet potato
Japanese sweet potatoes are SO creamy and delicious!

Lunch

  • 11am: Baked russet potato and a blueberry smoothie
  • 2pm: Banana oatmeal (brought my own little oatmeal kit to campus!) and a Clif builders bar

Dinner

  • Homemade channa masala

Post-Workout

  • Homemade carrot apple ginger juice

Calories: ~1750  |  Protein: 89g  |  Fiber: 49g

    • Sadly, I haven’t been able to find them at most stores. I get them at a local Asian-ish market (it’s like a hybrid between Safeway and 99 Ranch).

      I’m also thinking of asking Whole Foods to carry them, because I hear they’re good about accommodating customer requests for new stock!
