December 31st Food Diary

Calories: 1320

The day was largely spent beginning the process of tapering myself off of the carb binging (during which I tried to eradicate the bread in the house by… eating it all. ), going to the mall with a friend, and then of course New Year’s eve stuff. I went to the usual NYE party with my boyfriend–a mutual friend has thrown one for the last three years– and I felt no need to drink at it! The hilarious part is that most people at the party thought I had been drinking simply because I tend to reflect and mimic the moods of those around me subconsciously… I’ve found I’m an expert at fitting in to the dominant mood despite how I feel.  No alcohol was needed to enjoy myself. 🙂

Anyways, instead of alcohol, I ended up having half a bar of chocolate and some tortilla chips and salsa at the party. Still mad at myself for eating all that, but at least I got some nutrients out of it, unlike if I’d had the chocolate beer and Fireball my boyfriend brought, haha! (He just turned 21)

Came up with a veggie-heavy black bean soup that I’m now a tad in love with. I feel like I could eat this every night and be happy ! (120 cals without the avocado!)

Exercise: walked 3.1 miles

Breakfast:

  • Tea: 55

Lunch:

  • Bread with almond butter and apple slices: 500

Dinner:

  • Black bean soup: 250

Snacks:

  • Chocolate: 190
  • Tortilla chips & salsa: 330

Net: 1015

Protein: 35g
