November 4th Food Diary

Net calories – 880

It was cram day for a midterm tomorrow (which I am SET on getting 100% on again.. I’m must get 100% in the class!) and 2 papers to work on, one of which is due tomorrow. I managed to finish the latter in 45 minutes at night, but I was still pretty stressed all day! I kept getting random stress-induced food cravings, but didn’t act on it… though I felt weirdly hungry only 3 hours after breakfast. I felt like a bottomless pit!

Then, dinner came around and I decided to get a whole foods burrito because they’re healthy (quinoa, kale, black beans, roasted veggies, salsa, guac, whole wheat tortilla) and it would save me time.. plus I haven’t had one in awhile. I usually eat the whole thing, but for some reason, I started feeling painfully full after half!

But at this point, I was only at 1000 calories consumed (600 net), and I had resolved to eat more to fuel me up for my exam tomorrow. So, I had to wait a few hours and go into healthy-snack mode: protein banana-pomegranate nicecream, plus dates in cashew butter! I’ve never, ever had to MAKE myself eat at night to reach my calorie goal before… usually night is the time of uncontrollable binging. I like this way much better.

Breakfast:

  • Flax toast with cashew butter and homemade apple butter: 385
  • Maca mocha: 35

Lunch:

  • Seitan/mushroom curry: 200
  • Peanut butter: 150

Dinner:

  • 1/2 whole foods burrito: 300

Snacks:

  • Tea: 55
  • Chocolate: 50
  • Protein banana ice cream: 180
  • Dates: 60

Post-workout:

  • N/A

Net: 880

Protein: 69g
